<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>THIS POSITION IS REPOSTED</p> <ul> <li>Previous applicants are still under consideration and do not need to reapply* </li></ul> <p>With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.</p> <p>This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Charleston Dorchester Clinic, 2100 Charlie Hall Blvd, Charleston, SC 29414.</p> <p>Responsibilities for this Position Title include but are not limited to:</p> <p>Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Leader:</p> <p>This management-level position is for a team supervisor for our new Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This multidisciplinary program utilizes a team-oriented approach to providing care for patients who need higher levels of care with intervention and treatment and supervision in the home and community. The intended outcomes of this program are increasing community living skills, decreasing psychiatric hospitalizations, and decreasing criminal justice involvement.</p> <p>Team composition includes all or part of the following positions: Masters and Bachelor-level Mental Health Professionals, Substance Use Counselor, Vocational Success Specialist, Peer Support Specialist, and Administrative Assistant; the team will also include a portion of a nurse and MD or APRN who will not be in this manager's direct line of supervision. This manager will provide both clinical and administrative supervision, as well as some direct mental health services.</p> <p>Our clinicians provide advanced, comprehensive mental health assessments and clinical interventions to promote individualized patient recovery. This team will follow to fidelity the guidelines of ACT services, a model with proven outcomes. Sessions include individual, family, and group therapy as well as skill-building services using a full array of Evidence-Based Practices tailored to the individual's needs and preferences. Outcome measures are also completed at regular intervals to ensure an accurate level of care. We seek compassionate individuals who are driven to provide outstanding care to those we serve.</p> <p>Sessions are provided in home and community settings as well as in the clinic and via telehealth when appropriate. While much of our operation is office and community-based, there may be an opportunity to integrate limited telecommuting as well for portions of the workweek.</p> <p>Therapists are responsible for documenting services in a timely manner using an Electronic Medical Record system. All necessary technology will be provided. Managers have duties related to oversight of documentation by clinicians on their team.</p> <p>CDMHC and the South Carolina Department of Mental Health have an unsurpassed commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Clinical staff receive thorough training at orientation as well as opportunities for ongoing training and support, including CEUs whenever possible. For those wanting to make a difference in individual's lives and the surrounding communities of the Lowcountry, there is no better place to practice in the mental health field.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program.</p> <p>Agency (Facility) Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>Must be licensed as licensed psychologist, LISW-CP, LPC or LMFT. Three years' experience working with adults diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness and a minimum of two years post graduate experience.</p> <p>Note: If any Agency Requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Supervisory experience. </li><li>Practical therapeutic knowledge of principles, methods and counseling practices and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of serious and persistent mental illness. </li><li>Ability to listen and understand and communicate information and ideas so that others will understand. </li><li>Knowledge of psychopathology, family dynamics, family and group psychotherapy. Ability to identify and effectively utilize resources available in the community to accomplish objectives. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, families and representatives of other professional disciplines. </li><li>Ability to present clear and comprehensive oral and written reports. </li><li>Ability to organize and manage time. </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift 5lbs and operate a state vehicle. Position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies. Position will be part of the Assertive Community Treatment Team. Requires flexible schedule and some on call may be required.
