<p>Location: Active Wellness Center at Napa - Napa, CA</p> <p>Pay Transparency: (DOE; $17.00 - $19.00 per floor/administrative hour, $25.00 - $45.00 per personal training session hour); Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay depends on factors including site location, specialty, certifications, work experience, and other business needs.</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <p>The Fitness Specialist/Personal Trainer is responsible for managing the fitness floor, being responsive to members and guests by offering assistance, and educating members on the safe and correct use of cardio and weight training equipment. This person also performs assessments, provides package prescriptions, answers fitness and wellness related questions, and sells personal training packages.</p> <p>Specific Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Sell and deliver personal training sessions to clients </li><li>Schedule and conduct member fitness assessments and orientation appointments </li><li>Assist members in using safe and effective exercise form during their workouts </li><li>Maintain a clean, safe and orderly fitness floor, racking weights, picking up towels, water bottles, magazines, cleaning equipment, etc. </li><li>Support, teach, and encourage members to meet their fitness goals </li><li>Work together as a team with all departments </li><li>Develop relationships and encourage member referrals </li><li>Enforce Active Wellness policies such as cell phone use, etc. </li><li>Attend fitness department and fitness training meetings and continuing education classes to keep certifications current </li><li>Assist in development and implementation of new fitness programs/classes </li><li>Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance </li><li>Work as a TEAM with all other departments </li><li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor </li></ul> <p>Other Functions</p> <ul> <li>Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by Active Wellness </li><li>Promote center services and activities </li><li>Perform routine maintenance of equipment </li><li>Assist with keeping the center well stocked and clean </li><li>Attend Active Wellness site meetings and trainings </li><li>Handle injury and illness and security incident reporting </li></ul>
