<p>Polysomnographic Tech Trainee - Full Time (40Hrs) Midnights - Detroit</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY:</p> <p>A Polysomnographic Technician Trainee develops competency in and performs the basics of polysomnographic testing and associated interventions under the direct supervision of a Registered Sleep Technologist. The polysomnographic technician trainee works under the supervision of a registered sleep technologist/shift supervisor/and or program manager.</p> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Successful completion of a STAR-designated Focused education program, A-STEP Self Study Program and passing the RPSGT exam is required within one year of hire. </li><li>High school diploma or GED plus 6 months of direct patient care experience or 1 year of post-secondary education is required. </li><li>Obtain/Maintain BCLS Certification required. </li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills desired. </li><li>Appropriate social skills with emphasis on customer service skills is required. </li><li>Demonstrate ability to follow direction. </li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the technician is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. </li><li>The technician is required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. </li><li>Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasional lift/move up to 50 pounds. </li><li>Must possess visual abilities for close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Organization: Henry Ford Medical Group </li><li>Department: Sleep Disorder </li><li>Shift: Night Job </li><li>Union Code: Not Applicable </li></ul>
