The Sales Professional - Outside Sales serves families in a professional, caring and timely manner. Follow-up and generation of referrals from client families are integral to success and to establish a strong service relationship with families. The Sales Professional - Outside Sales also develops relationships with the community.</p> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Develop trusting relationships with prospective and existing client families in order to generate sales leads. Updating prospective client contact information and detailed notes in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) sales system. </li><li>Take initiative to contact prospective clients and schedule sales appointments to meet prospective client's schedule, including evenings and weekends. </li><li>Appointments made at customers' residence, Dignity Memorial locations or virtually </li><li>Applying listening and empathy skills facilitates prospective client through the pre-planning process and selection of services and property that most appropriately meet their needs. Explains insurance (trust) product features. Completes sales and insurance (trust) contracts ensuring accuracy and completeness. </li><li>Utilize CRM software to continually source leads from campaigns, prospective clients, and prior client sales to develop sales pipeline. </li><li>Coordinates sales efforts with team members and other departments as appropriate. </li><li>Seek out manager's coaching to improve sales cycle, sales techniques, software proficiency, and product knowledge. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li></ul> <p>Licenses</p> <ul> <li>Ability to obtain and maintain insurance license as required by state/province </li><li>Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Sales or Customer experience preferred </li><li>Previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) sales systems preferred </li><li>Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Proficient computer skills including MS office suite </li><li>Proficient computer skills with CRM and Social Networking Apps preferred </li><li>Professional demeanor and communication skills </li><li>Bilingual, knowledge of another language preferred </li><li>Professional attire required when meeting with clients or representing the company </li><li>Available to work evenings and weekends </li></ul> <p>Work CONDITIONS</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Work indoors during all seasons and weather conditions </li><li>Comply with Corporate dress code policy </li></ul> <p>Work Postures</p> <ul> <li>Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage </li></ul> <p>Work Hours</p> <ul> <li>Working beyond "standard" hours as the need arises </li></ul> <p>As part of your pre-employment background check, your criminal conviction history will be verified given that this role requires the following material job duties: Working with or around client families, colleagues, and working with confidential information .
