This job description does not constitute an employment agreement and the Town may change these duties at any time.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performs front-line, day-to-day services in any combination of the following divisions:</p> </li><li> <p>Childcare</p> </li><li> <p>Climbing Wall </p> </li><li> <p>Maintains order and overall control in assigned program area; monitor participants within program area.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors and maintains the overall appearance and functionality of facilities, venues, and program areas to provide safe conditions for patrons and staff; performs maintenance tasks, remedies safety concerns, and communicates any issues to a supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures all required documentation is completed.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with opening, closing, and inventory procedures as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Responds to emergency situations and assists in the evacuation of program area. Accurately completes incident reports as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures compliance with Town and Departmental policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Reports suspected abuse cases to supervisor and the appropriate governing bodies.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, A/V equipment, sports, or recreation equipment for events, programs, and rentals.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other related duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Examples of Essential Duties for the Childcare</p> <ul> <li>Maintains adult/child ratios and finds coverage for any missed shifts. </li></ul> <p>Examples of Essential Duties for the Climbing Wall</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performs safety orientations and ensures all climbing wall users are classified and capable of climbing.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs instruction in safe and proper climbing wall use, assists climbers during supervised climbing times.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, certification and/or licensure required. An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential duties and meet the necessary employment standards may be considered.</p> <p>Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.</p> <p>Possession of or the ability to obtain a CPR/First Aid certification upon hire.</p> <p>Minimal, Additional Qualification - Childcare:</p> <ul> <li>Two (2) years of experience with children or a related field is preferred.  </li></ul> <p>Minimal, Additional Qualification - Climbing Wall:</p> <ul> <li>Experience performing general cleaning and facility maintenance tasks preferred.  </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>The working conditions described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties of this job. Requires occasional reaching with hands and arms, climbing and balancing. Requires moderate physical activity with heavy lifting, up to fifty (50) pounds. Requires close and distance vision acuity and the ability to adjust focus, allowing a broad field of vision. </p> <p>Environment</p> <p>Work is frequently performed in a climate-controlled office environment, but employees holding this position may be exposed to extreme cold or heat and wetness/humidity. The noise level is usually high and may range from moderate to extreme.
