Paid time off is earned according to the local policy and increases with the length of employment.</p> <p>Click HERE to discover how we empower team members to grow, thrive, and advance in their careers.</p> <p>WE LOVE OUR WORK.</p> <p>Position is open until filled</p> <p>Ameristar Casino Resort Spa offers Team Members:</p> <p>Now hiring candidates 18 or older for all positions, including gaming licensed positions (Must be 21 or older for Beverage Server, Barback, Bartender)</p> <ul> <li>Health Benefits Insurance package effective Day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Short-Term Disability for FT team members </li><li>$700 Referral Bonus Program ($350 at 90 days $350 at 6 months) - for Team Members who refer new applicants </li><li>Discounted Casino bus tickets </li><li>Discounted RTD EcoPass </li><li>Hot meal served by the Leadership Team once a month </li><li>20%?discount for Starbucks, Ara Spa, and all food outlets </li><li>100%?Colorado Gaming License reimbursement after?90?days of employment </li><li>Hotel discounts available at all?43 PENN?properties, plus discounts on goods and services </li><li>Education reimbursement program and Annual Scholarship Program </li><li>Career development opportunities </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work varied shifts and varied days off, including weekends and holiday periods. </li><li>Works with the culinary team to develop food and wine pairings. </li><li>Manages the daily activities necessary for maintenance and promotion of the organization's wine collection. </li><li>Partner with the work-and-study based exchange visitor programs, teaching serving techniques, table and time management. </li><li>Formulate operating procedures and assist in creating policies, procedures, and training guides for daily tasks and duties. </li><li>Assist members of the F&B and culinary leadership teams, cross training on duties such as ordering, stocking, training, and behind the bar duties and responsibilities. </li><li>Have a strong understanding of the inventory and the ability to manage inventory. </li><li>Learn and follow all beverage recipes and adhere to the established pour policy. </li><li>Operate within full compliance with liquor laws and regulations. </li><li>Adhere to and enforce all control systems. </li><li>Learn the prices of all drinks. </li><li>Collect payment and promptly settle all cash and charge transactions. </li><li>Requisition liquor and other supplies, when needed with supervisor's approval. </li><li>Ask for identification of all suspected under-age patrons. </li><li>Responsible for knowing the types, glasses, and brand names of the products we offer. Should be familiar with a substitute item to offer a guest in the event an item is ordered that we do not carry. </li><li>Inform supervisor of guests who appear to be intoxicated. </li><li>Responsible for the handling of Company funds through cash transactions on the Micros System. </li><li>Follow all cash handling procedures as listed in the Food & Beverage Manual. </li><li>Always conduct yourself in a manner that reflects a positive, professional image for Ameristar Casino Black Hawk. </li><li>Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so. </li><li>Handle the chemicals for the glass washing machine in a safe manner. </li><li>Responsible and accountable for all cash variances +/- $10.00. </li><li>Responsible for the cleanliness of your workstation/bar. </li><li>Must serve cocktail servers; serve them only at their stations. </li><li>Keep the bar completely stocked for the next shift. </li><li>Responsible for informing beverage manager on duty of any problems. </li></ul> <p>BRING US YOUR BEST.</p> <ul> <li>Two (2) years' experience as a server in a dining establishment. </li><li>An outgoing personality with interest in guest hospitality. </li><li>Knowledge of upselling techniques. </li><li>Exceptional work habits. </li><li>Knowledgeable of menu to include alcoholic beverages that are available. </li><li>Strong customer service skills </li><li>Ability to sustain a high level of professionalism. </li><li>Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with guest issues. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with guests at all levels. </li><li>Highly organized and detail-oriented </li><li>Have and keep updated all current work cards: TIPS Training. </li></ul> <p>STAY IN THE GAME.
