<p>Summary</p> <p>The Young School of Nursing, Weston Campus Program is seeking applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor, within the Pre-Licensure Associate's Degree Nursing program for the 2025-2026 academic year. Candidates must possess the ability to teach a broad range of courses with a primary focus in medical-surgical nursing. Primary responsibilities include teaching nursing students; advising students; course evaluation and development; committee work; and service to the department, university, and community at large. Reports to the Associate Dean for Pre-licensure Nursing and works collaboratively with the Dean of Nursing, Assistant Dean of Pre-licensure Associate's Degree Nursing program, and with Program Director for the Associate's Degree nursing program.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Teach in the Pre-Licensure Associate's Degree Nursing Programs. </li><li>Coordinate aspects of curriculum implementation, including course development and revisions based on analysis of outcome data. </li><li>Participate in the scheduling and course offerings of the Associate's Degree nursing courses. </li><li>Collaborate on and promote interdisciplinary/interprofessional education curricula with faculty supporting the Pre-Licensure nursing courses. </li><li>Collaborate on and assist the nursing program director and faculty in maintaining the quality and integrity of the Pre-Licensure Associate's Degree nursing programs, which include evaluation of students and course evaluations, curriculum workshops, and review of student integrity and/or progression issues. </li><li>Participate in the Pre-Licensure Nursing Department Meetings, School of Nursing Meetings, any other appointed university or SON committees, and open houses. </li><li>Assist in the compliance with standards and guidelines set by ACEN, NECHE, Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and other accrediting bodies related to health professions programs. </li><li>Support faculty development in teaching, research, leadership and other scholarly activities as well as in community service. </li><li>Ensure and support a conducive teamwork environment with SON faculty and staff. </li><li>Provides advising support for Pre-Licensure Associate's Degree Nursing students. </li><li>Attend professional meetings related to curriculum development and academic leadership. </li><li>Other responsibilities as designated by the Assistant and Associate Deans of Nursing, and Dean of Nursing. </li></ul> <p>Other Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Other responsibilities as designated by the Pre-Licensure Associate Dean and Dean, School of Nursing </li></ul>
