<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>POSITION: EL Coordinator/Coach REPORTS TO: Superintendent and Principal CLASSIFICATION: Certificated WORK YEAR: 185 DaysSchool Year 2024-25SALARY: SALARY: Certificated Teacher Salary Schedule PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under the general supervision of the Superintendent and Principal, provides leadership, coordination and evaluation for state and federal and special programs. Supports the implementation of the District's curriculum and English Language Development (ELD) Program. Ensures that District educational programs provide every student equal access to the curriculum and addresses issues of ethnicity, language, culture and underserved student populations. Provides leadership in closing the achievement/access gap for students and sustaining student achievement. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: The EL Coordinator/Coach exercises broad discretion in the supervision and implementation of assigned programs. The position involves high visibility with students, staff, parents and the community at large. Supervision and evaluation are provided by the incumbent to designated staff in assigned programs.
