<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Rigging Supervisor will assist in the coordination of labor and necessary</p> <p>equipment or tools per job or job specifications and may deliver and/or operate</p> <p>specific equipment (powered and non-powered) necessary for the work. In</p> <p>conjunction with site or regional office leadership, the Rigging Supervisor will</p> <p>oversee rigging crews involved in delivering or retrieving equipment or materials</p> <p>necessary for machinery relocation or securing equipment to prevent movement.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with planning and executing rigging work, including the coordination of </li></ul> <p>labor and materials and in conjunction with safety and managers, perform job</p> <p>walks and job hazard analyses.</p> <ul> <li>Accurately estimate tools, equipment, and labor needed for each job or job site </li></ul> <p>requirements and coordinate resources so rigging crews can start or continue</p> <p>work without delay.</p> <ul> <li>Inspect tools and equipment used for rigging and reject items showing wear, </li></ul> <p>thinning, cracks or potential failure points prior to issuing or approving for use.</p> <p>Demonstrate the proper use of specific equipment, as necessary. Ensure tools</p> <p>or equipment is returned / accounted for, clean, and ready for use.</p> <ul> <li>Assign rigging crews to various jobs, and oversee crew attendance, needed </li></ul> <p>skill sets and talents, and ensure crews are dispersed for work or no work (as</p> <p>applicable) fairly and within Company or customer preferences and guidelines.</p> <ul> <li>Supervise crews to include directing work, issue corrective action or rewards </li></ul> <p>and recognition. May review and/or approve crew timecards and requests for</p> <p>time off.</p> <ul> <li>Train and mentor entry-level riggers, Rigger Trainees, and others as needed. </li><li>Perform all other duties as necessary or assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education):</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent necessary. A degree (Associates or </li></ul> <p>Bachelors) in construction, project management, or related field helpful.</p> <ul> <li>Three (3) to five (5) years' experience performing rigging work required; Two </li></ul> <p>years' of successful and/or progressive experience as a supervisor highly</p> <p>preferred.</p> <ul> <li>Successful completion of OSHA 30 training; keep current with training </li></ul> <p>concepts as they relate to employee and job site safety.</p> <ul> <li>Understand and support MEI safety concepts and be able to instruct others </li></ul> <p>accordingly - including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment</p> <p>(PPE).</p> <ul> <li>Solid and professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Practices </li></ul> <p>active listening and critical thinking skills.</p> <ul> <li>Is self-directed and self-motivated; manages time well and encourages time </li></ul> <p>efficiencies from others.</p> <ul> <li>Possesses intermediate knowledge of a Windows-based computer and knows </li></ul> <p>or can quickly learn the necessary software; good understanding of Microsoft</p> <p>Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook).</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the </li></ul> <p>meaning and spelling of words; able to keep legible records and logs in</p> <p>English.</p> <p>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</p> <p>This is physical, hands-on work. Must be able to perform General Physical</p> <p>Activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and activities requiring</p> <p>moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, or</p> <p>crouching. May regularly lift items up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses senses</p> <p>involving sight, smell, touch, and auditory. May work off the ground at varying</p> <p>heights; must not be affected by flashing lights, noise, or moving machinery. May</p> <p>perform occasional work in a warehouse or non-temperature-controlled</p> <p>environment and/or outdoors over uneven terrain or with exposure to inclement</p> <p>weather.</p> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <p>Work with a Top-of-Mind Awareness for the safety of yourself and everyone at</p> <p>the job site.
