<p>Location: Lee Health Corporate Center -4211 Metro ParkwayFort Myers FL 33916</p> <p>Department: Compliance</p> <p>Work Type: Full Time</p> <p>Shift: Shift 1/8:00:00 AM to 4:00:00 AM</p> <p>Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$57,345.60 - $74,547.20 / Annual</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Compliance Educator, Provider Services works collaboratively with the Compliance Officer to act as an internal resource for Lee Physician Group and for Lee Health for professional service coding and documentation education to facilitate compliance and process improvement. The Compliance Educator performs medical record reviews to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations, as well as with institutional/organizational standards, practices, policies and procedures; provides coding and documentation support to physicians and advanced providers through ad hoc phone calls and site visits, the creation of tip sheets, and the provision of virtual and onsite presentations; provides guidance related to payment policies mandated by government entities and other payers including level of service, diagnosis, procedure and diagnostic code assignments; independently develops and maintains educational materials and training programs; and develops and maintains strong partnerships with providers across all employed practices to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. The Compliance Educator also assists with the development and dissemination of general compliance educational content to Lee Health providers and staff.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education: Bachelors degree preferred or Bachelor's Business Preferred</p> <p>Experience: 3 Years of healthcare compliance experience or healthcare operations experience. 3 years professional medical coding/coding education preferred</p> <p>Certification: Certification in Professional coding preferred (CPC or CCS-P) Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) is preferred, but required within one year of employment</p> <p>License: N/A</p> <p>Other: Professional fee coding and quality documentation subject matter expert. Ability to apply coding conventions, official guidelines, and Coding Clinic advice to health record documentation.
