<p>Implement and prepare for interpretation of cardiac testing that includes EKGs, Holter Monitoring Hook-ups and Stress Testing.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Edit EKGs, after physician review, by deleting, inserting or making additions of established phrases in the ECG Computerized System (MUSE). </li><li>Utilize all computer systems (MUSE, TDS, etc) for testing data, result reporting and mailing, billing, etc. </li><li>Perform cardiac testing that include EKGs, rhythm strips, Signal Average ECGs, Stress testing, Holter Monitoring hook-ups, according to protocol and in a timely fashion. </li><li>Maintain equipment by cleaning and stocking on a daily basis as well as alerting appropriate personnel of needed repairs and supplies needed. Also maintain the department area to meet Safety & Security regulations (JCAHO & OSHA). </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>6 months experience in a medical related field is preferred. </li><li>Ability to work flexible hours to meet the department's needs that include evenings, weekends, holidays and weekend/holiday </li><li>On-Call required. </li><li>Basic typing and computer skills are also required. </li><li>Transcription skills are preferred. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <p>Completion of a Medical Assistant or Cardiac Technician course preferred.</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
