You will provide comprehensive services on benchtop laboratory instrumentation systems, including installation, repairs, and preventive maintenance. You will be a customer advocate in laboratories and drive growth.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform on-site installation, repairs, and preventive maintenance of Multi Vendor (MVS) CAT I & II instrumentation, focusing on: </li><li>Chromatography (Cytiva AKTA FPLC, Agilent HPLC, Thermo HPLC/UPLC, Waters HPLC/UPLC) </li><li>Thermo Corona CAD </li><li>Cell Counters (Beckman ViCell XR) </li><li>Tabletop instruments (e.g., incubator, centrifuge, plate washer) </li><li>Additional assets as needed by the customer </li><li>Collaborate with ULS teams and Sales to ensure client satisfaction </li><li>Use customer management software for tracking service calls and managing parts inventories </li><li>Plan and manage time to complete monthly services and corrective actions on time </li><li>Inspect malfunctioning products and recommend repairs or replacements </li><li>Coordinate problem resolution with engineering and customer service teams </li><li>Analyze technical problems and provide solutions </li><li>Serve as a communication link between customers and the company </li><li>Conduct training on equipment operations for team members and customers </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or technical degree and 4+ years field service experience; Bachelor's degree in sciences preferred </li><li>2+ years of hands-on experience as a Service Engineer or user of analytical instrumentation, particularly Chromatography </li><li>Experience with benchtop laboratory instrumentation systems </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication skills and ability to build good customer relationships </li><li>Ability to prioritize service requests and produce clear documentation </li><li>Willingness to travel overnight up to 10% </li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs with assistance and carry 25-30 lbs throughout the day </li><li>Ability to bend, squat, stretch, and reach daily </li><li>Valid driver's license and safe driving record </li><li>Reliable attendance </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and annual incentive bonus plan </li><li>401K with company match up to 6% </li><li>Tuition reimbursement and a range of other benefits </li><li>Comprehensive Total Rewards package, including medical, dental, and vision plans </li><li>Employee assistance and family support programs </li><li>120 hours of paid time off, 10 paid holidays, paid parental leave, accident and life insurance, and short- and long-term disability </li><li>Retirement and savings programs, including a competitive 401(k) plan </li><li>Employees' Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) </li></ul> <p>Join Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.</p> <p>For more information on our benefits, visit: Total Rewards</p>
