<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Special Education Teacher needed at Joseph A. Foran High School.</p> <p>The successful candidate will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide individualized instruction in accordance with students' Individual Education Plans </li><li>Develop Individual Education Plans in compliance with state and federal requirements </li><li>Conduct assessments to determine students' eligibility for special education and develop appropriate programs </li><li>Collaborate with general education teachers, related services staff, school personnel and families to design individualized student programs </li><li>Co-teach general education classes as needed </li><li>Supervise and provide professional learning for paraeducators </li><li>Communicate effectively with school staff, families, and outside providers </li><li>Facilitate Planning and Placement Team meetings, building or department committees as assigned </li><li>Experience collecting student data, monitor progress toward students' IEP goals/objectives, implementing Behavior Intervention Plans, and collaborating with District Behavior Analyst(s) </li><li>Monitor student progress both in and outside of the resource room setting </li><li>Ensure students receive an appropriate educational program in their least restrictive environment </li></ul> <p>This position is available August 25, 2025..</p> <p>Current CT Special Education certification (165, 065 or 265) required.</p> <p>Salary and benefits per contract.</p> <p>Interested applicants must apply online at www.milforded.org in order to be considered for the position.</p> <p>No phone calls please.</p>
