<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Adjunct (part-time) instructors are hired on an as-needed, term-by-term (or per course) basis. By applying for this position, you will be joining the part-time instructional pool for consideration as a prospective adjunct instructor.</p> <p>The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carryout its mission.</p> <p>The Adjunct Instructor is directly accountable to the Public Safety Training Center Director for the following duties and responsibilities.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Provide classroom instruction. </li><li>Utilize current FDLE curriculum and course materials to include scenario based training. </li><li>Be fully prepared and on time. </li><li>Maintain a professional appearance of business casual attire or agency uniform while instructing. </li><li>Maintain course attendance per FDLE and college guidelines. </li><li>Be familiar and abide by all Public Safety Training Center and college policies. </li><li>Support students by engaging them in class, answering questions in a timely manner, and referring them for additional support when necessary. </li><li>Complete annual mandatory compliance training. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Training Center Director. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Current FDLE General Instructor Certification AND three (3) years of in-field experience</p> </li><li> <p>OR professional or technical certification or three years of experience in the specified subject matter documented per FDLE requirements. High Liability course instruction will require a current FDLE Instructor Certification for each area.</p> </li><li> <p>Post-secondary teaching experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with current teaching technologies</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in student engagement techniques.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent oral and written communication skills required.</p> </li><li> <p>All degrees must be from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution.</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Classification: Part-Time Adjunct Instructor</p> <p>Grant Funded: N</p> <p>Rate of Pay: For salary information please contact the Training Center Director</p> <p>Location: All Campuses and FDLE approved class locations</p> <p>Application Deadline: This is a pool of applicants.
