<p>Hoffman & Hoffman, Inc. is recruiting a Sales Engineer to handle industrial sales. As the Sales Engineer, you will provide consulting engineers and contractors with the tools to select and apply equipment from the industry's finest manufacturers of mechanical systems. Successful Hoffman & Hoffman, Inc. Sales Engineers develop relationships and trust with their customers and then retain them by providing superior service.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li>Be the point of contact for industrial sales </li><li>Perform technical sales functions </li><li>Evaluate opportunities within Hoffman's footprint </li><li>Develop interoffice opportunities within the H & H team. </li><li>Develop scope of work and quotations to satisfy opportunities </li><li>Secure the orders based on those quotations </li><li>Submit and manage orders for processing. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering (working experience desired but not required). </li><li>Technical evaluation capability of customer manufacturing/production processes. </li><li>Significant computer skills required, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and the business software used for managing design and sales details. </li><li>Must be highly organized as many details and much information will be handled in this job and must be dealt with efficiently and effectively. </li><li>Must be very motivated to succeed no matter what the circumstances. </li><li>Working knowledge of our industrial products will be necessary. </li><li>Business knowledge including comprehension of profit/loss, different business types (original equipment manufacturer, contractor, user, consulting engineer, dealer, etc.), etc. is required. </li><li>Effective means of written and oral communication </li><li>Ability to travel regularly to visit accounts within the specified region </li></ul> <p>The noise level is usually low. Must be willing to visit manufacturing sites to evaluate opportunities.
