Oral</p> <p>and written proficiency in Spanish and English, if teaching content area or literacy in Spanish.</p> <p>Primary Function:</p> <p>Develop a love of learning and self-worth in each student to encourage life-long learners,</p> <p>including a passion for being bilingual and working among multiple cultures.</p> <p>General Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of content level. </li><li>Maintain the use of advanced Spanish language skills in the content area, if teaching in Spanish. </li><li>Follow district curriculum to meet the needs of the students. </li><li>Plan, design, prepare for and implement a variety of effective teaching techniques in order to successfully meet the educational needs of the students. </li><li>Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere conductive to learning; climate of respect and fairness. </li><li>Assess learning outcomes of students by various methods (testing, observation, portfolios, other assessments). </li><li>Plan and implement appropriate classroom management strategies. </li><li>Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and community members. </li><li>Utilize technology. </li><li>Meet attendance requirements. </li><li>Engage in ongoing professional growth. </li><li>Keep all appropriate records. </li><li>Attend meetings and assume extra duties assigned by principal. </li><li>Work collaboratively with school staff. </li></ul> <p>You are navigating off of REAP site to the district's posting.</p> <p>OK</p>
