<p>Number of Positions: 1</p> <p>Anticipated Dates: Position Available Summer 2025</p> <p>Job Description: Waynesburg University Department of Athletics is seeking a graduate student to assist staff and coaches with the day-to-day operations of the department, specifically assigned to Baseball. Position entails working 19 hours a week in the Athletic Department. The graduate assistant will report to the Head Baseball Coach and Director of Athletics. Duties and responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the direction of assigned athletic teams </li><li>Assist in the organization of practice sessions </li><li>Work in accordance with all staff members of the Athletics Department and Waynesburg University </li><li>Represent Waynesburg University Athletic Department in a positive manner </li><li>Recruit qualified student athletes to participate in the athletic program, as directed by the Head Baseball Coach </li><li>Assist in the preparation of game and practice sites </li><li>Possess the ability to communicate the mission of the University and the goals of the Athletic Department to student-athletes </li><li>Serve as site administrator for home athletic events out of season </li><li>Comply with all rules affiliated with Waynesburg University, the Presidents' Athletic Conference, and Division III of the NCAA </li><li>Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head Baseball Coach and/or Director of Athletics </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications: All interested candidates will need to successfully enroll in a graduate program at Waynesburg University in order to be eligible for the assistantship. Candidates must possess strong organizational, communication and computer skills, familiarity with a variety of software such as: Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, Adobe Professional, Front Rush, Slate, etc.; the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet established work deadlines; and availability to work evenings, Sundays and occasional weekends.</p> <p>Application Instructions: Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
