<p>The administrator will oversee mailroom personnel, ensuring procedures and best practices are followed with regard to mail, stockroom, shipping, and receiving functions. Acts as a backup to the Supervisor of Purchasing Services.</p> <ul> <li>Supervises and implements the daily mail, shipping and receiving operations functions, ensuring compliance with College procedures and state regulations. </li><li>Contacts vendors for return authorizations. </li><li>Tracks missing items and shipments. </li><li>Analyzes and verifies all monthly bills for Pitney Bowes, UPS, USPS, Fed Ex and any other mail, shipping or receiving vendor. </li><li>Oversee the mail, shipping and receiving operations for the College. </li><li>Oversee the bulk mailing operations, including managing the USPS reserve account. </li><li>Responsible for prioritizing the delivery of items - i.e., mail, packages, etc. </li><li>Conducts annual performance evaluations of staff and recommends individual performance improvement plans if needed. </li><li>Maintains procedures for mail and duplicating operations to provide effective service to the College community. Review and revise these procedures as needed. </li><li>Makes recommendations for process improvements to the Controller of College Services to improve operational functions and keep current with outside vendor changes. </li><li>Assists in the testing of all ERP software upgrades or other existing software related to the mail, shipping and receiving functions. </li><li>Maintains stockroom inventory. </li><li>Trains new employees in all aspects of their jobs. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISION</p> <ul> <li>Shipping/Receiving/Mail Clerks </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Minimum three (3) years of directly applicable experience </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office with emphasis on Excel, Word, TEAMS, etc. </li><li>Good computer skills including operating in shared storage environments, scanning documents, etc. </li><li>Valid Driver's License required, which is currently in good standing </li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs. </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule with varied hours to meet department and College needs </li><li>Possess the ability to work well and communicate effectively with prospective and current students, staff, faculty, administration, and colleagues and community partners </li></ul> <p>If certain conditions exist, this position requires you to have access to personal technological equipment and capabilities to perform your duties.COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for all positions at Rowan College of South Jersey.
