<p>The Columbus Symphonys Masterworks and Symphony Pops series hosted in the Ohio and Davidson Theatres consists of 35 evening and matinee shows over a period of 32 weeks reaching a live audience of nearly 50000 These concert series are integral to our mission to inspire and build a strong community through music From mid September to early May the Marketing and Events Intern will assist with the entirety of the 2025 2026 Masterworks and Symphony Pops season The Marketing and Events intern will have the opportunity to apply communication skills to a variety of projects related to patron engagement merchandising event planning digital asset management and overall marketing strategies as well as gain an understanding of aspects of the artistic and administrative activities of the orchestra Responsibilities Under the direction of the Marketing Coordinator assists in preparation of events Masterwork and Symphony Pops concertsAttends weekly marketing and all staff meetingsAttends Masterworks and Symphony pops concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings and sometimes Sunday matinees; assists with setup and teardown of merchandise tables and various coordination tasks; regularly interacts and communicates with the development teamOperating Square point of sales systems and represent the Columbus symphony at the merchandise tableRecord and maintain sales data in appropriate placesAssists with day to day administrative tasksOther duties as assignedQualifications Recent college graduates or college students interested in arts and non profit managementStrong verbal and written communication skills; open to team communication and willing to ask questionsComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Canva and POS systemsStrong organizational and research skillsWell spoken and not afraid to initiate conversations with patrons Photography and Adobe Creative Suite skills preferred The ideal candidate will be highly self motivated and eager to learn with a passion for the arts non profits accessibility and diversity Benefits & Compensation Gain experience in arts and non profit administrationComplimentary tickets to Columbus Symphony performancesEligible for 15 hourly pay and course creditWork Schedule The Marketing and Events Internship is a part time 20hrweek position beginning in September 2025 and ending in May 2026 On a normal concert week approximately 10 hours per week will be spent in the theatre assisting with preparation and setupteardown and 5 10 hours per week will be spent in the office running reports and updating databases The division of weekly hours and internship length is flexible depending on course schedule or other outside responsibilities</p>
