<p>Utah Valley University is seeking part time Student Custodians for morning, day, and night shift opportunities. Under the direction of a Lead Custodian these positions perform custodial care.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Work under the supervision of a Lead Custodian and be responsible for a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to: emptying garbage cans, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping. </li><li>Complete tasks on a structured schedule and sometimes may be required to help cover for absent employees. </li><li>Must be a current UVU student. </li><li>Knowledge proper use and disposal of hazardous chemicals and products. </li><li>Knowledge of body fluid cleanup and proper protection. </li><li>Knowledge of proper radio communications. </li><li>Knowledge of pest control. </li><li>Knowledge of all floor types, such as terrazzo, cement, wood, vinyl and ceramic tile as well as carpet fibers, weaves and backings. </li><li>Knowledge of waxes/polishes, acids, other chemicals, buffers, extractors, vacuums and scrubbers. </li><li>Knowledge of current cleaning techniques and proper cleaning chemicals. </li><li>Good interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to withstand strenuous and adverse working conditions. </li><li>Ability to follow oral and written instructions. </li><li>Ability to perform skilled custodial duties, equipment maintenance, and minor plumbing. </li></ul>
