Radius is proud to continuously invest in their member sand provide them with opportunities to pursue their passions at work, at home and in their communities.</p> <p>SUMMARY OF POSITION:</p> <p>The Maintenance Tool Room Attendant will be responsible for assisting in managing equipment maintenance work orders, spare parts inventory, and crib locations while providing essential support to the team of multi-skilled maintenance mechanics. This role includes tracking work orders, purchasing and receiving inventory, maintaining inventory control systems, obtaining quotes from vendors, and scheduling maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Tool Room Attendant will also assist with parts kitting for work orders, work order reconciliation, and ensuring all records and reports within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) are accurate and up to date.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a "safety first" attitude and adhere to OSHA and company safety practices (LOTO, GMP, ARC Flash, proper PPE, etc.). </li><li>Ensure a safe working environment by following established safety policies and maintaining proper housekeeping practices. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of on-hand parts inventory, perform cycle counts, and update the database to verify physical inventory accuracy. Review stock levels of maintenance items and communicate changes to the manager. </li><li>Ensure proper identification of received goods and proper storage locations. </li><li>Optimize inventory levels using best practices and inventory control systems. </li><li>Work with purchasing to obtain quotes, track orders, and manage vendor relationships. </li><li>Ensure all requisitions, receiving reports, and related inventory documents are properly maintained. </li><li>Assist with parts and equipment pickups and transport between facilities as needed. </li><li>Support work order management by verifying completed work, reconciling parts consumed, and ensuring work orders are closed accurately. </li><li>Create and provide KPI reports to the manager. Accurately track metrics on performance of planning and scheduling functions. </li><li>Estimate materials and man hour requirements for all planned work. </li><li>Assist maintenance and production management in periodically analyzing costs and where necessary recommends corrective action needed to reduce maintenance costs. </li><li>Process purchase requisitions for the maintenance department and support work order planning and scheduling. </li><li>Kitting components for work orders and ensuring parts are readily available for technicians. </li><li>Utilize the CMMS to track work orders, schedule maintenance activities, and report on progress. Update CMMS system with failure information on equipment in order to build a history database for future reference. </li><li>Work directly with vendors to expedite orders and ensure timely delivery of required parts. </li><li>Communicate effectively with contractors and external vendors to ensure seamless operations. </li><li>Maintain a neat and organized work area and help keep the facility clean and well-maintained. </li><li>Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and adapt to daily activities to meet customer needs. </li><li>Assist with safety inspections, maintenance tasks, and continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Plant Leadership. </li><li>Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers, and/or government agencies. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in materials management, maintenance administration, or a related field. </li><li>Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), Excel and other relevant software (Microsoft Office, Apple programs preferred). </li><li>Strong understanding of inventory control concepts, terminology, and best practices. </li><li>Ability to build and maintain positive, professional working relationships with all levels of the organization, including vendors and contractors. </li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. </li><li>Must be able to maintain a good attendance record and be available for overtime, including holidays and weekends as required. </li><li>Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance tasks. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage work priorities effectively. </li><li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, management, and external vendors. </li><li>Must be eager to support fellow team members and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. </li><li>Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends. </li></ul>
