<p>About the Position</p> <p>The SEC Reporting Intern position at Vertiv offers a valuable opportunity for students interested in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and technical accounting. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience with SEC filings, supporting schedules, and documentation, while offering insight into the external reporting process of a publicly traded company. The role is ideal for students seeking to build a career in accounting or finance with a focus on public company reporting requirements.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist with the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K. </li><li>Support the SEC Reporting team in gathering and organizing data and supporting documentation for quarterly and annual filings. </li><li>Help maintain accurate workpapers and supporting schedules in compliance with SOX/internal control requirements. </li><li>Perform tie-outs and cross-checks of financial statements and disclosures. </li><li>Participate in technical accounting research projects and assist in drafting whitepapers or memos. </li><li>Collaborate with various teams including Accounting, Legal, and FP&A to collect relevant data for disclosures. </li><li>Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting processes and systems. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. </li><li>Strong interest in financial reporting, SEC compliance, and technical accounting. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail, especially in reviewing data and documentation. </li><li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Workiva is a plus (not necessary). </li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently or within a team. </li><li>Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. </li></ul> <p>The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.</p> <p>OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
