Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Functions with a significant level of responsibility, autonomy, and expertise under administrative supervision of pharmacy management personnel. Follow specific function requirements and competencies listed in this job description for each specialty area.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitates medication safety practices by identifying and reporting potential medication errors such as look-alike sound-alike medications.</p> </li></ul> <p>The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:</p> <p>Required qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school or equivalent</p> </li><li> <p>Three years of hospital pharmacy experience PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Technician.</p> </li><li> <p>Sterile Compounding & Aseptic Technique-IV Cert Course.</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Pharmacy Technician.</p> </li><li> <p>Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT).</p> </li><li> <p>Current certification from Nationally recognized Board/Association.</p> </li><li> <p>Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associates degree or technical degree in a related field or specific certification related to the position, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare.</p> </li><li> <p>Leadership experience.</p> </li></ul> <p>This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
