This temporary, on-site role supports our commitment to student well-being and balance during the fall semester.</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness, health education, teamwork, and stress relief. </li><li>Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where students of all fitness levels feel safe and motivated to participate. </li><li>Emphasize individual and cooperative activities that complement Mass Academy's focus on student well-being and balance. </li><li>Encourage lifelong healthy habits through varied physical activities such as cardio and team sports. </li><li>Collaborate with staff to align wellness programming with broader school initiatives. </li><li>Maintain appropriate safety standards and supervision in all physical activities. </li><li>Uphold and model the values of respect, equity, and responsibility in every aspect of instruction and student interaction. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Health, or related field (Master's preferred). </li><li>Massachusetts teaching licensure in Physical Education (grades 5-12) or eligibility for licensure. </li><li>Experience teaching high school students, particularly in a nontraditional or academically advanced setting, is a plus. </li><li>Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. </li><li>A passion for wellness education and commitment to supporting the whole student. </li></ul> <p>FLSA STATUS</p> <p>United States of America (Non-Exempt)</p> <p>WPI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
