<p>We are looking for a Laboratory Client Services Representative to join our collaborative team at Memorial Health!</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the main point of contact for all laboratory customer service issues or laboratory customer service concerns; schedule and perform routine visits to existing laboratory customers/clients to assure customer satisfaction; document visits, client issues, resolutions, research and provide answers to any client questions posed. (Note: Clients/customers are defined as patients, physicians, physician offices, and nursing homes.) </li><li>Understand laboratory policies and procedures, billing and operation in order to diagnose exact client issues and problems; effectively communicate these issues to the laboratory and diplomatically deal with clients, patients, physicians, laboratory staff and other hospital employees. </li><li>Prioritize and resolve any client service/customer service issues; research and communicate these issues to the department director and Medical Director as well as the laboratory staff; be aware of when issues need turned over to supervisor or another department/employee for correct resolution. The researching of issues may need to be at the client's site or at the laboratory site. </li><li>Attend operational and departmental meetings to communicate client concerns; study laboratory processes and design and implement improvement of these processes; provide department education for quality service delivery; work with hospital employees to solve client issues, obtain information to share with clients, act as liaison between clients and laboratory and make suggestions on how laboratory might provide a more effective, higher quality of services. </li><li>Actively participates in hospital customer service initiatives and participates on the institution's customer service team; assists with the coordination of the health screening efforts of the laboratory; perform periodic inquiries into customer's thoughts regarding laboratory services, formal efforts may include surveys, questionnaires, interviews or comments/suggestion cards, informal efforts may include asking clients how they feel about services; satisfaction with service results will need to be communicated to laboratory staff. </li><li>Markets laboratory services to new and possible clients, informing them about various services that the laboratory has to offer; responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the laboratory's guide to service, reviewing yearly and updating as needed; ensures that clients have all the information and supplies need to collect patient specimens at their individual sites; coordinates courier services to all of the client sites ensuring the adequate and proper training of any person performing these duties as related to laboratory customer service and proper specimen transport; oversees the issues involved with sending patient samples from outreach sites to the main laboratory for testing. </li><li>Works flexible hours to adequately staff department; works collaboratively with the rest of the laboratory staff to ensure departmental excellence. </li><li>Serves as an example of excellent customer service within the organization. </li><li>Exhibits behaviors reflective of Memorial's core values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service </li><li>Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. </li><li>Attends all mandatory education and in-services (i.e., team training, safety, infection control, etc.); completes mandatory health requirements. </li><li>Employee performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital's and department's Ethics and Compliance program and is responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer, or the hospital hotline. </li><li>Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Experience in Marketing/Communication; 5 years work experience in a hospital setting; knowledge of laboratory/physician operations is preferred.
