<p>Job Description</p> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>Insure MTI's maintenance operation will function as follows:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure all equipment is maintained and repaired in a safe and economical manner. </li><li>MTI operates according to state, federal, and local regulations. </li><li>MTI meets customer requirements. </li><li>Maximize utilization of mechanics and equipment. </li><li>On call some nights and weekends </li><li>Employees follow company policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ol> <li> <p>Ensure all equipment is maintained by Martin policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all write-ups are repaired daily.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure preventive maintenance is preformed daily.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with terminal supervisor, shop foreman, and the safety department.</p> </li><li> <p>Train and cross-train in all areas of shop.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete duties as assigned by the terminal supervisor and/or the shop foreman.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a clean and safe workplace. Job Requirements EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE</p> </li></ol> <p>High School Diploma or equivalentand three (3) plus years'work experience as a mechanic. Should have the ability to diagnose mechanical problems and make repairs. Knowledge of standard materials, tools and equipment and skill in the use and care of tools.</p>
