As a Tool Designer, you will develop tool designs in support of internal manufacturing as well as multiple Aerospace & Defense companies.</p> <p>Location: Cheshire, CT</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform.</p> <ul> <li>Develop manufacturing tooling concepts & quotes </li><li>Create tool designs utilizing NX (Unigraphics CAD systems. Including dies, gages, composite part molds, lift & transport fixtures, small machines, assembly/disassembly, fixtures for milling, drilling, water jet, marking, surface treatment, grinding and turning as well as various other tooling. </li><li>Support manufacturing engineers and programmers with in-process part models and operation sheets. </li><li>Ensure customer charging and part center charging are accurate. </li><li>Coach/mentor tool designers, interns, and apprentices. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 35 lbs. </li><li>Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about our facility </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a "US Person" as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data. </li><li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>10+ years experience in tool design </li><li>Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level </li></ul> <p>Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel). </li><li>Knowledge of military and commercial design standards. </li><li>Knowledge of NX (Unigraphics) - current versions. </li><li>Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization. </li><li>Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices. </li><li>Ability to coach/mentor junior tool designers, interns, and apprentices. </li><li>Ability to travel domestically - 5% max. </li></ul> <p>AAP Statement</p> <p>Hanwha Aerospace USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
