<p>Description:</p> <p>The Event Captain is responsible for ensuring the success of the Event Operations and Event Operations related food and beverage operations. They must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing of food and beverages.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Previous Event Captain experience is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous bartending experience required.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area</p> </li><li> <p>Relay food and beverage orders as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices</p> </li><li> <p>Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate person</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work a flexible schedule that will likely include evenings, weekends, and holidays</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential job FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Day to day management and supervision of greens keeping staff </li><li>Fulfill the range of duties of an equipment operator/greens keeper </li><li>Train staff </li><li>Irrigation design, installation and repair </li><li>Drainage design, installation and repair </li><li>Manage irrigation responsibilities </li><li>Manage the use of chemicals and fertilizers </li><li>Apply and supervise application of chemicals and fertilizer </li><li>Assist in personnel management and evaluation, to include, but not limited to: Colleague safety and safety training; Personnel discipline; Assign personnel duties; Motivate and appraise staff </li><li>Maintain an acceptable grooming and uniform appearance </li><li>Consistently acting as a role model for all Wild Dunes Colleagues </li><li>Assist Golf Course Superintendent in coordinating staff meetings </li></ul> <p>The Colleague is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Why Join Wild Dunes Resort?</p> <p>At Wild Dunes Resort, Destination by Hyatt, colleagues are more than employees-they are valued members of our team.
