<p>What to Expect</p> <p>Tesla is seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to join the Insurance Team. This role focuses on resolving insurance claims with compassion and efficiency while delivering outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will analyze policies, manage investigations, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure equitable outcomes for all parties involved.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Analyze, review, and interpret policies to assess coverage and liability </li><li>Determine necessary investigations for complex claims to reach fair conclusions </li><li>Oversee work performed by independent adjusters or appraisers </li><li>Document, verify, and review damages while evaluating and settling claims </li><li>Investigate subrogation, handle total losses, and process salvage returns </li><li>Maintain daily communication with adjusters, insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and agents </li><li>Establish and maintain appropriate loss and expense reserves for claims </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree, or equivalent experience </li><li>2+ years of experience handling claims with expertise in coverage, investigation, litigation, negotiation, damage/injury evaluation, salvage, and subrogation </li><li>Knowledge of state laws and regulations related to general liability claims handling </li><li>Basic understanding of claims mathematics, construction, auto physical damage, medical terminology, and legal issues </li><li>Ability to be onsite daily </li><li>Adjuster license required within 90 days of start date if not already obtained </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:</p> <ul> <li>Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction </li><li>Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits </li><li>Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution </li><li>Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA </li><li>Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) </li><li>401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits </li><li>Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays </li><li>Back-up childcare and parenting support resources </li><li>Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance </li><li>Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs </li><li>Tesla Babies program </li><li>Commuter benefits </li><li>Employee discounts and perks program </li></ul> <p>Tesla is an Equal Opportunity employer.
