<p>Catering and Events Manager</p> <p>MISSOURI ATHLETIC CLUB CLAYTON</p> <p>JOB OVERVIEW</p> <p>Be part of an exciting new chapter at the Missouri Athletic Club with the opening of MAC Clayton, the Club's newest location, designed to carry forward more than 120 years of tradition into a modern and elevated experience. Anticipated to open early 2026, MAC Clayton will feature state-of-the-art facilities, refined dining, and thoughtfully designed spaces for athletics, wellness, and social connection. This new Clubhouse will serve as a cornerstone for members seeking excellence in hospitality, culinary innovation, and community engagement. The MAC has thrived since 1903 by staying true to its founders' vision: delivering extraordinary experiences with excellence, service, and tradition at the heart of everything we do. We invest in our employees with competitive benefits and engaging events, creating an environment where talent is valued, celebrated, and inspired to grow.</p> <p>We are looking for a highly motivated Catering & Events Manager to work at our Clayton location.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary liaison for all social and corporate events-managing inquiries, proposals, tastings, BEO creation, timelines, and client communication. </li><li>Balance administrative planning with on-site event execution, adjusting focus based on weekly event volume and operational needs. </li><li>Partner with the F&B and Culinary teams to plan and execute events that reflect MAC standards of precision, hospitality, and consistency. </li><li>Oversee setup, service flow, and breakdown to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. </li><li>Schedule and lead Banquet Servers and Captains, ensuring proper staffing levels for all events. </li><li>Maintain accurate event details, billing, and post-event follow-ups. </li><li>Uphold MAC Clayton service standards and serve as an ambassador of elevated member and guest hospitality. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of catering or banquet management experience in a high-volume or luxury environment. </li><li>Strong organizational and administrative skills with proficiency in event planning systems (or ability to learn quickly). </li><li>Ability to lead teams with professionalism, clarity, and positivity. </li><li>Experience in hotel, private club, or upscale restaurant operations preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and build strong client relationships. </li><li>A hands-on management style and commitment to delivering elevated hospitality. </li></ul>
