From the moment you're hired, to the day you retire, you're a part of our Bassett Mechanical Family.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities (willing to training):</p> <ul> <li>Operates plate rolling machines (3 and 4 roll) to form metal plates, sheets, or bars into arcs, cylinders, or cones, using blueprints and templates. </li><li>Loads the sheets, plates, bars, etc. into rolls by hand or with overhead crane. </li><li>Adjusts the rolling machines as needed for material thickness and required diameters. </li><li>Ability to operate a forklift. </li><li>Ability to work alone. </li><li>Other sheet metal shop duties as assigned by shop foremen. </li></ul> <p>Summary of Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>No experience is necessary, but familiarity in a metal fabrication environment is a plus. </li><li>Understanding of different material properties and potential machine limitations. </li><li>Variety of positions available: </li><li>1st shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00am until 3:30pm </li><li>2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 3:30pm until 1:30am </li></ul> <p>Competitive pay and benefits!
