<p>Job Title: Superintendent of ConstructionJob Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Superintendent of Construction to oversee and manage our construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and methods, with a proven ability to lead teams and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of high-quality custom homes.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Read and review blueprints, drawings, and layouts. </li><li>Ensure compliance with NJ building codes and safety requirements. </li><li>Collaborate with project managers and local municipal inspectors. </li><li>Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries. </li><li>Manage overall job progress and ensure timelines are met. </li><li>Demonstrate strong work ethic and leadership skills. </li><li>Execute snapping floorplan lines accurately. </li><li>Apply excellent carpentry techniques in the installation process. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in reading architectural and structural blueprints to identify components such as windows, trusses, and structural framing. </li><li>5+ years of experience in new construction custom homes valued at $1 million+, focusing on trusses and framing installation. </li><li>Ability to create, organize, and follow up on change orders and work orders, including scheduling and preparing two-week look-aheads. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with construction, framing, carpentry, residential construction, rough carpentry, installation, and blueprint reading. </li><li>Knowledge of snapping lines and layout. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work hours are from 7am/8am to 4pm on job sites throughout the Central NJ area, including locations such as Princeton, Lakewood, and Old Bridge. We are a growing framing contractor with 18 years of business experience. Our team currently consists of five people, with plans to double in size by the end of the year. We have a large backlog of work and partnerships with major builders. There is a bonus opportunity at the end of the year and mileage reimbursement while on contract, with a company truck provided when permanent.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Old Bridge, NJ.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $40.86/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
