<p>Job Details</p> <p>Job FamilySTAFF - Support StaffGradeHFSalary$21.80 - $29.80DepartmentClinical Simulation LabReports ToDirector, Clinical SimulationClosing DateOpen Until FilledFLSA StatusNon-ExemptFirst Review DateMarch 2, 2026</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>This Part-Time Clinical Simulation Technical Specialist provides technological assistance in developing evidence based scenarios for faculty and staff. The position coordinates with Medical Center campus faculty in developing educational courses and provides support in the integration of clinical simulators and multimedia equipment into the curriculum. The position also trains simulation technicians and students in the use of technologies in the clinical simulation lab.</p> <p>What you will be doing</p> <ul> <li>Conducts pre/post-simulation scenarios and coordinates related activities; provides moulage set-up/removal and technical support </li><li>Provides support to faculty and staff with technologies involving clinical simulation research and effective teaching strategies in a simulated environment </li><li>Contributes to the development and continuous improvement of healthcare education at the College through best practices as dictated by program accreditation organizations and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare </li><li>Works in conjunction with administrators and faculty to conceptualize case scenarios using evidence based research and best practices that address student learning program simulators </li><li>Conducts in-service training and orientations for staff, faculty and students </li><li>Maintains records of laboratory utilization; makes recommendations for budget and purchases of equipment, supplies and materials </li><li>Performs system analysis of simulation equipment </li><li>Performs standard configuration of equipment and assists with installation and updates of operating systems and appropriate software </li><li>Troubleshoots software/hardware issues with simulators, network, A/V equipment and other supporting systems </li><li>Proctors test examinations in the simulation area; reports testing irregularities to administrators and faculty </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What you need to succeed</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field and three (3) years of relevant experience </li><li>Current certification as a Registered Nurse, EMS/Paramedic, Radiology Technician, Physician Assistant license or Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures </li><li>Ability to identify technical problems and provide solutions on how to troubleshoot simulators and/or medical equipment </li><li>Knowledge in the use and operation of multimedia equipment and computers </li><li>Knowledge of Linux, MAC and Windows OS </li><li>Ability to follow MDC and Clinical Simulation Lab policies and procedures </li><li>Knowledge of OSHA, ACA, HIPAA, Office of the National Coordinator of Health IT (ONC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of student and faculty requirements for lab procedures, skills and testing </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments </li><li>Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <p>The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.</p> <p>EQUAL ACCESS/EQUAL OPPORTUNITY</p> <p>Miami Dade College is an equal access/equal opportunity institution which does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, marital status, age, religion, national origin, disability, veteran's status, ethnicity, pregnancy, sexual orientation or genetic information.</p> <p>To obtain more information about the College's equal access and equal opportunity policies, procedures and practices, please contact the College's Civil Rights Compliance Officer: Cindy Lau Evans, Director, Equal Opportunity Programs/ ADA Coordinator/ Title IX Coordinator, at (305) 237-2577 (Voice) or 711 (Relay Service). 11011 SW 104 St., Room 1102-01; Miami, FL 33176.
