The LTS Teacher will work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to provide specialized instruction and support tailored to the unique needs of each student.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct instruction and support to students, both individually and in small groups, within various educational settings. </li><li>Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other members of the special education team, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and behavior specialists. </li><li>Employ evidence-based teaching strategies and methodologies to address the academic, social, and behavioral needs of students with autism. </li><li>Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, independence, and self-advocacy. </li><li>Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly to ensure meaningful educational outcomes. </li><li>Collaborate with general education teachers to modify and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of students with autism. </li><li>Provide ongoing communication and support to parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and addressing any concerns. </li><li>Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities related to special education. </li><li>Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in autism education to continually enhance instructional methods and approaches. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education. </li><li>Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Special Education. </li><li>Knowledge of special education. </li><li>Experience working with individuals with autism in an educational setting is a plus. </li><li>Familiarity with a range of instructional approaches and behavioral interventions for students with autism. </li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills. </li><li>Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of students. </li><li>Ability to adapt to different environments and travel between school locations as an itinerant teacher. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and benefits package. </li><li>Professional development opportunities to further enhance skills in autism education and special education practices. </li><li>Opportunity to work within a collaborative and supportive educational community. </li><li>Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students. </li></ul> <p>If you are a dedicated and compassionate educator with a strong commitment to supporting students,,we encourage you to apply for the position.</p> <p>Join our team and help create an inclusive and enriching learning experience for every student.</p> <p>WORKPLACE EXPECTATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Must demonstrate regular and punctual attendance.
