<p>Job Description:</p> <p>We are seeking an Electrical Technician to support the development and production of next-generation National Defense High-Energy Laser (HEL) systems. These systems are designed to be rugged, compact, and capable of operating in some of the most challenging environments.</p> <p>In this role, you will be a key contributor to hands-on electrical assembly, cable fabrication, soldering, and testing activities that directly impact mission-critical defense programs. This position is ideal for a technician with strong attention to detail who enjoys working in manufacturing and clean-room environments and supporting advanced electro-optical systems from build through test.</p> <p>Work Environment: This position is onsite in Longmont, CO. Hands-on laboratory and production environment supporting aerospace & defense programs.</p> <p>Why You Should Be Interested:</p> <ul> <li>Work on cutting-edge technology </li><li>Support programs for the military and NASA </li><li>Positive team culture and retention focus </li><li>Competitive compensation & full benefits - Medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid holidays, and PTO </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform electrical assembly of cables, harnesses, and electronic hardware </li><li>Fabricate and assemble copper and fiber cables for lab and system-level setups </li><li>Perform soldering of electrical and electronic components in accordance with IPC standards (IPC-A-610 / IPC-620) </li><li>Conduct electrical testing and inspection of cables, assemblies, and printed circuit boards (PCBs) </li><li>Support testing, troubleshooting, and rework of electrical assemblies and cable faults </li><li>Inspect incoming parts and completed assemblies for quality, workmanship, and compliance </li><li>Accurately document build processes, inspections, test results, and non-conformances </li><li>Maintain clean-room protocols and adhere to ESD and safety requirements </li><li>Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support development, integration, and test activities </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role </li><li>Demonstrated experience with electrical assembly and cable fabrication </li><li>Strong soldering skills, including fine-pitch and precision work </li><li>Experience performing electrical testing and inspection on cables and PCBs </li><li>Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-620 workmanship standards </li><li>Ability to read and follow schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and work instructions </li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, repeatable workmanship </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field </li><li>Experience supporting aerospace, defense, laser, or electro-optical systems </li><li>Experience with fiber-optic cable testing and handling </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract position based out of Longmont, CO.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $44.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
