The custodian also supports daily operations and prepares facilities for events.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Safety & Accessibility:</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with snow removal.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure site is ready for daily operations and events.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor students and staff to prevent injuries.</p> </li><li> <p>Cleaning & Maintenance:</p> </li><li> <p>Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, and grounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform summer maintenance (e.g., wax floors, move furniture).</p> </li><li> <p>Handle laundry for multiple buildings.</p> </li><li> <p>Support & Cooperation:</p> </li><li> <p>Work with other staff on custodial tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver supplies and materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide information to staff, students, and visitors.</p> </li><li> <p>Supplies & Safety:</p> </li><li> <p>Replenish classroom and restroom supplies.</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to safety and operational issues (e.g., vandalism, alarms).</p> </li><li> <p>Secure the facility (e.g., lock doors, set alarms).</p> </li><li> <p>Other Duties:</p> </li><li> <p>Perform additional tasks as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. </li><li>Experience: Relevant experience is preferred but not required. </li><li>Skills: Operate industrial cleaning equipment and follow safety practices. </li><li>Knowledge: Basic math, industrial cleaning methods, and safety procedures. </li><li>Abilities: Work with diverse people, manage tasks, solve problems, and adapt to changing priorities. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>FHSD offers a comprehensive employer paid benefits package to eligible employees including:</p> <ul> <li>Medical and dental plan options </li><li>Vision coverage </li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) </li><li>District-paid basic life insurance ($75,000) </li><li>District paid Short Term Disability </li><li>Paid vacation </li><li>Paid holidays </li><li>Family coverage, long term disability and additional life insurance options are available at the employee's expense. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Frequent walking and standing. </li><li>Regular lifting, pushing, and pulling. </li><li>Occasional climbing, kneeling, and crawling. </li></ul> <p>Hours: Depends on Location</p> <ul> <li>Castlio: PM shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM </li><li>Francis Howell Central (2): PM shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM </li><li>Francis Howell High (3): PM shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM </li><li>Francis Howell North (3): PM shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM </li></ul> <p>We look forward to receiving your application and potentially welcoming you to the FHSD team!</p>
