MHT's provide assistance to patients in daily living such as assisting with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting. MHT's provide the provision of a safe, therapeutic environment, and crisis intervention.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation; including but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Compliance with completion, filing, and retrieval of medical records </li><li>Direct patient care such as bathing, dressing, and walking </li><li>Transport patients and equipment </li><li>Monitor patients for assessments and report to supervisor </li><li>Complete admission paperwork and patient orientation to the hospital </li><li>Participate and assist with recreational activities for patients </li><li>Participate and assist with therapeutic activities for patients </li></ul> <p>Required Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>One (1) to two (2) years' in a mental health, patient care, or geriatric setting preferred </li></ul> <p>Licensing/Certification/Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Certified as a Certified Nurse Assistant required </li><li>CPI certification required (or training completed prior to direct patient care) with yearly refreshers </li><li>CMS Restraint and Seclusion training (or training completed prior to direct patient care) with yearly refreshers </li><li>CPR certification is not required upon hire. However, training will be given yearly.
