<p>Indianapolis Education and Support Srvcs Center</p> <p>421 N Emerson Ave Greenwood, Indiana 46143</p> <p>The Manager JV Accounting sets the accounting and reporting direction, policies, and procedures, and provides financial leadership and oversight for the System's joint ventures. This position oversees a range of accounting activities for these entities (e.g. journal entries, accruals, account reconciliation, financial reporting), ensures transactions comply with GAAP requirements, and manages the financial reporting and budgeting process. This role may be called upon to provide financial presentations to various joint venture boards/committees. Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers that provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve.</p> <p>WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT</p> <ul> <li> <p>Oversees day-to-day management of JV accounting team related to reporting, budgeting, and analytic activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees financial planning and analysis of joint ventures including impairments, filings, capital plans, operating budgets, financial forecasts, audits, and tax work (all in collaboration with the COE).</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies and leads process improvement efforts, to drive efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of accounting processes and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the monthly/quarterly/annual accounting close process, including preparation and/or review of significant accruals related to joint ventures across the System.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures the accounting functions and duties for the JV are accurately and promptly completed and communicated in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Reviews periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) consolidated and disaggregated financial results for accuracy and reasonableness, performs financial analyses, investigates questionable transactions, and makes recommendations for corrections, as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides monthly reporting packages and statistical reports for management review; manages the development of periodic and ad-hoc reports required by internal and external stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares monthly management and board financial packages; presents material at board or executive meetings, as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Research and discuss complex accounting and reporting matters related to significant transactions and financial reporting processes, including newly formed joint ventures, divestitures, physician compensation arrangements, accounts receivables, and bad debt/contractual reserves; assists with accounting due diligence related to new acquisitions.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops, implements and manages policies and budget, ensuring cost control and expenses are in alignment with the budget.</p> </li><li> <p>Makes decisions for direct reports in assigned function, and performs people management activities, such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, staff planning, and interviews.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervises direct reports and manages the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to motivate, engage, and drive a high performing team.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance, Business or related - Required</p> </li><li> <p>Master's Degree Accounting, Finance, Business or related - Preferred</p> </li><li> <p>8 years Accounting - Required</p> </li><li> <p>5 years experience leading teams and performing accounting activities - Preferred</p> </li><li> <p>3 years Healthcare experience - Required</p> </li><li> <p>3 years Joint venture accounting experience - Preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State Licensing Board Preferred - Preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>TRAVEL IS REQUIRED:</p> <p>Up to 20%</p> <p>JOB RANGE:</p> <p>INCENTIVE:</p> <p>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</p> <p>It is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law.</p> <p>Franciscan Alliance reserves a Right of Conscience objection in the event local, state or Federal ordinances that violate its values and the free exercise of its religious rights.</p> <p>Franciscan Alliance is committed to equal employment opportunity.</p> <p>Franciscan provides eligible employees with comprehensive benefit offerings.
