<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>12 Hour Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Patient Observer/ Advocate; PO to join our team at Mercy Medical Center. This person is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional observation and reporting of patients with a variety of medical conditions.</p> <p>What you will do</p> <ul> <li>This critical role performs various duties related to patient assistance and experience, patient transportation and the cleaning and stocking of the Emergency Department. </li><li>Responsible for constant bedside observation of patients </li><li>Accurate reporting of all observations made on patients. </li><li>Meets/greets patients/families/visitors in a pleasant manner assisting them with comfort needs throughout their hospital stay. </li><li>Able to show compassion for the human spirit and mind, advocacy and transparent communication with patients and families. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.</p> </li><li> <p>CPR/ Basic Life Support certification required.</p> </li><li> <p>American Red Cross (Preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>American Heart Association (accepted)</p> </li><li> <p>Assault Reduction Training</p> </li></ul> <p>Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Full-Time </li><li>36 hours day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. </li><li>Must work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled. </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <ul> <li>Great benefits and Health Insurance Coverage-starting Day One! </li><li>Career growth and advancement potential </li><li>Award-winning Hospitals and Departments </li></ul> <p>Mercy Medical Center has established itself as one of the leading providers of health care services in Western Massachusetts.
