<p>Our customer, an Insurance Service Provider, is looking for a Corporate Counsel. This role will primarily involve reviewing and negotiating insurance-related and commercial contracts and assisting with regulatory license applications.</p> <p>Projected Start Date: Immediate</p> <p>Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)</p> <p>Hours per Week: 40 hours per week</p> <p>Location: Remote (any U.S. time zone; Des Moines preferred but not required)</p> <p>Qualifications-</p> <ul> <li>Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. </li><li>Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. </li><li>Minimum 5 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on insurance (P&C preferred) and commercial contracts. </li><li>Prior in-house counsel experience strongly preferred. </li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of Westlaw and other legal research tools. </li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities-</p> <ul> <li>Conduct advanced review, analysis, and negotiation of insurance and commercial contracts. </li><li>Draft and review responses to regulatory and commercial inquiries. </li><li>Assist with P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance-related matters. </li><li>Support completion and submission of license applications for business operations. </li><li>Provide strategic legal advice on compliance, risk, and contractual issues. </li><li>Work closely with the Deputy General Counsel to manage high-priority projects. </li><li>Research and advise using platforms such as Westlaw and other legal resources. </li><li>Ensure legal documentation and processes align with business objectives and industry standards. </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with business, compliance, and regulatory teams. </li></ul> <p>To apply:</p> <p>If you are qualified, interested, and available, please send 1) your WORD version resume and 2) an email stating why you are a good fit for this position to bharat.bhushan@elevate.law</p> <p>ElevateFlex provides an unparalleled platform for you to work with innovative companies and law firms worldwide on various exciting and challenging roles.
