<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Valley R-VI School District is currently seeking qualified candidates for an instructional coach/academic interventionist for the 2025-26 school year. This position is a part-time, hourly position. This position is dependent on federal or supplemental funding availability. The instructional coach academic interventionist reports directly to the appropriate School Principal, while working under the authority of the District Superintendent.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education:</p> </li><li> <p>A Bachelor Degree is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Certification/License:</p> </li><li> <p>Appropriate DESE certification</p> </li><li> <p>Certification in grade levels served preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Work Experience:</p> </li><li> <p>Previous teaching experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Classroom experience in the grade levels served is preferable.</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Develops the plan and supervises development of district curriculum, instruction and assessments compliant with state guidelines, research based best practices, and for the betterment of the students </li><li>Provide encouragement and emotional support to teachers. </li><li>Encourage ongoing professional growth for all teachers. </li><li>Provide organized, individual and/or group learning opportunities for teachers as needed </li><li>Provide support in analyzing student assessment data </li><li>Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data when requested. </li><li>Assist teachers with development of classroom activities </li><li>Provide support for classroom motivation and management strategies. </li><li>Assist teachers in creating materials that are in alignment with curriculum. </li><li>Provide teachers resources related to instruction and curriculum. </li><li>Ensures district instructional, assessment, and/or curriculum procedures are research based best practices </li><li>Model effective, differentiated instruction when requested. </li><li>Work positively toward meeting identified district and building improvement goals. </li><li>Develop and maintain a confidential, collegial relationship with teachers, administrators, parents, and patrons. </li><li>Possess an understanding of when to contact administrators regarding issues of safety/ethics involving students in classrooms observed. </li><li>Works with students in need of tier II and tier III academic support </li><li>Develops instructional strategies to assist students in need of continuation or remediation in academic and or social/emotional/behavioral areas </li><li>Works with students in need of small group or individual assessment </li><li>Participate fully in professional development for coaches, including peer observations, professional research and reading, and inquiry sessions. </li><li>Evaluate classroom instruction and student learning achievement and progress </li><li>Works with teachers and administrators to Identify instructional and learning goals for teachers and students </li><li>Advises teachers research based strategies to improve their teaching and classroom management </li><li>Demonstrate best practices by modeling lessons in the classroom </li><li>Offer direct feedback to teachers based on their practice and student learning data </li><li>Monitors student and teacher progress to assess the effectiveness of coaching and instructional practices </li><li>Collaborates with teachers to create a high quality learning environment </li><li>Mentors and serve as a role model and mentor for teachers </li></ul> <p>Applications:</p> <ul> <li>Certified Applications can be found at the Administration Building on Valley R-VI campus at #1 Viking Dr., Caledonia, MO, or on the school website at < www.valleyschooldistrict.org >. </li><li>Applications are to be submitted to Jamie Warden - JH/HS Principal for Valley R-VI or by email at jamie.warden@valley.k12.mo.us or by fax at 573-779-3505 (Please add JH/HS Application for Instructional Coach/Academic Interventionist Position to the subject line). </li><li>Applications will be received until the position is filled. </li></ul>
