This role supervises staff, monitors cleanliness, and coordinates daily housekeeping operations to maintain a welcoming and well-maintained hotel environment.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, including performance evaluations, training, and development.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing the department's annual budget and cost control systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Enforce departmental policies and procedures to maintain service standards and efficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure quality services are provided to meet guest needs and enhance guest satisfaction.</p> </li><li> <p>Direct hourly associates in all areas of the housekeeping and laundry departments.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare daily assignment sheets for all housekeeping and laundry associates.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain cleanliness standards in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring compliance with hotel objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect and monitor cleanliness, taking corrective action for any substandard conditions.</p> </li><li> <p>Compile and report the status of all guestrooms to the front desk department.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with the security office to manage lost and found items.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain departmental productivity and labor cost goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee inventories of linen, supplies, and equipment and assist with ordering as necessary.</p> </li></ul> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.</p> <p>Required Experience, Education, and Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>2+ years of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a related field, preferably in a hotel environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience managing staff schedules, performance evaluations, and training programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in budgeting, inventory management, and cost control.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong leadership and team management abilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and housekeeping management software.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Problem-solving skills with the ability to address guest and staff concerns professionally.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 20 lbs regularly.</p> </li><li> <p>Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on hotel needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Primarily indoor work in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, with occasional outdoor tasks.</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Duties:</p> <p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the team member for this job.
