We also promote a healthy work/life balance.</p> <p>Family and Juvenile Services has an immediate need to fill a Court Designated Worker position in Jefferson County. This is a 2nd shift position.</p> <p>Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Receives public and status offense complaints against juveniles. </li><li>Arranges placements for juveniles taken into custody by law enforcement officers. </li><li>Conducts preliminary inquiry on complaints filed against juveniles. </li><li>Recommends formal processing or informal disposition. </li><li>Formulates and supervises diversion agreements. </li><li>Maintains records. </li><li>Keeps statistical information. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION: Associates degree</p> <p>EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: 1 year of work-related experience</p> <p>Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE</p> <p>Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: High School Diploma & 3 years job related experience</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Job requires general knowledge of the concepts of juvenile delinquency and the juvenile justice process; interpersonal communication and writing skills. Scheduling and organizing program-related meetings and events; and consultation, education and training to staff and other groups.</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>On call position that requires days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Performs job duties in an office and/or facility.
