Your growth is key to our ongoing success-take the lead in shaping your career development, goals and future!</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Perform accounting, analysis and reporting for capital projects and ?xed assets of NRG Inc and its a?liates.</p> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <p>Perform the accounting, processing, and analysis of ?xed assets.</p> <p>Perform ?xed asset accounting functions necessary to achieve an accurate and timely general ledger month end close. Duties will include calculation of monthly Capitalized Interest and depreciation, capitalization of CIP projects, preparation of necessary journal entries and posting thereof in the accounting system.</p> <p>Record and maintain records of fixed assets, including additions, retirements, and transfers.</p> <p>Reconcile ?xed asset accounts to general ledger on a monthly basis.</p> <p>Support the Corporate Tax group with the annual property tax ?lings.</p> <p>Liaison with plants, accounting and other groups to facilitate CIP reviews and month end close tasks.</p> <p>Assist with external and internal audit requests.</p> <p>Report monthly variance on capital expenditures to FP&A and Operations group.</p> <p>Prepare depreciation forecast for NRG and its a?liates.</p> <p>Provide assistance with special projects as necessary.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Open o?ce environment</p> <p>Position is designated as hybrid, meaning 3 days per week in the office, two days per week remote. Hybrid schedule determined by management.</p> <p>Some overtime may be required during close cycle and for special projects.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in accounting.</p> <p>Two to three years of experience in general accounting and ?nance.</p> <p>Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers.</p> <p>Ability to work independently in team-oriented culture.</p> <p>Experience in a fast-paced environment and the ability to meet tight deadlines</p> <p>Preferred Quali?cations:</p> <p>Experience with SAP, HFM and Microsoft O?ce Excel and other Microsoft O?ce applications preferred.</p> <p>Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <p>Proactive, analytical with critical thinking skills and keen judgment.</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to e?ectively communicate (verbal and written) with all levels of internal or external groups.</p> <p>Strong people skills and ability to work in both team environments and independently. Pro?ciency with Microsoft O?ce and Microsoft Teams.</p> <p>Excellent attention to detail, highly organized with an initiative-taking approach. Strong analytical ability and critical thinking skills.</p> <p>The base salary range for this position is: $<em>62,960-103,920 </em>The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
