<p>Nature of Work</p> <ul> <li>This job opportunity is not in the classified service and is not covered under the Administrative Rule of the WV Division of Personnel.* </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in this position, you must apply directly to the hiring agency by emailing a resume toosajobs@wv.gov</p> <p>with the job title in the subject line.</p> <p>TEMPORARY SECRETARY 2 (TEMPORARY ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST)</p> <p>WV DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES-BUREAU FOR MEDICAL SERVICES</p> <p>KANAWHA COUNTY</p> <p>Pay Rate: $15 - $18 per hour, depending on experience</p> <p>Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>This position supports theDepartment of Human Services, Bureau for Medical Services, by assisting Human Resources, managers, and staff with a variety of administrative and clerical duties.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities Include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide front desk support by answering, screening, and transferring phone calls to appropriate individuals or programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Greet visitors, determine the nature and purpose of their visit, and direct or escort them to their destination.</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule and coordinate meetings and conferences.</p> </li><li> <p>Handle correspondence and manage incoming and outgoing mail.</p> </li><li> <p>Transmit information or documents to customers via computer, mail, or fax.</p> </li><li> <p>Create, maintain, and input data into databases.</p> </li><li> <p>Operate standard office equipment, including copiers and phone systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with meeting setup, including preparation of paperwork and handouts.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare documents such as memos and letters.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain physical and digital files through sorting, purging, and monitoring.</p> </li><li> <p>Train new employees and prepare reports as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Training:Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.</p> <p>Experience:Five years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing clerical duties at the Office Assistant 3 level, encompassing a wide range of office practices, which must have in included typing, screening and routing telephone calls and correspondence, and composing routine correspondence.</p> <p>Substitution:College hours or related business school or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for up to two years of the required experience.</p> <p>Other Information</p> <p>This job opportunity is not in the classified service and is not covered by the Administrative Rule of the WV Division of Personnel.
