<p>This position is at the Runkle School for the 2025-26 school year.</p> <p>Job description:</p> <p>The speech and language pathologist will work with students in grades K through 8 who have challenges in language, literacy, memory and processing, executive functioning, and/or social pragmatic communication difficulties. We are seeking candidates who have expertise in autism spectrum disorders, who have expertise in Social Thinking Curriculum, and who are able to link therapy to classroom objectives and to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.</p> <p>Job responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Providing speech and language therapy to students with this service on their IEPs </li><li>Consulting to general education and special education staff regarding student needs and best practices </li><li>Providing service and consultation to hearing-impaired students </li><li>Completing and presenting speech and language assessments </li><li>Attending IEP meetings </li><li>Monitoring student progress through the collection of data </li><li>Completing IEPs and progress reports </li><li>Designing and implementing small group and/or inclusion intervention and instruction focused on listening, speaking, reading, writing, auditory memory/processing, executive functioning, and social thinking/pragmatic skills to support academic and social competencies. </li><li>Working with students with augmentative communication devices </li></ul> <p>Required Qulaifications</p> <ul> <li>Must have a current MA DESE license in Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders </li><li>Must have experience working in schools and/or with children ages 5-13 </li></ul>
