<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Pulmonary Function Technician to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators in our Springfield, 175 Carew Street location.</p> <p>You would be responsible to provides pulmonary patients with high quality care, PFT's, six minute walk tests, and overnight oximetry. Assists with the overall functioning of the pulmonary department.</p> <p>What You Will Do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform routine function tests according to protocols established by the ATS including PFTs, DLCO, FRC, (with and without bronchodilators) Methacholine Challenge tests, and oximetry both at rest and with exercise</p> </li><li> <p>Explain and demonstrate testing and instructs patients in testing procedures to ensure patient's best effort.</p> </li><li> <p>Will provide first level trouble shooting for pulmonary function equipment and perform quality control procedures on pulmonary testing equipment to ensure proper operation and integrity of test results.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in department workflows as needed</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Hours: Per Diem, Days</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Medical Assisting and/or certification as a pulmonary function technologist</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of One (1) year respiratory therapy experience as an RRT in hospital or physician office, and/or a minimum of 6 months - 2 yrs of experience as a pulmonary function technologist.
