<p>About the Role:</p> <p>The Recycle/Compliance/EP Tech plays a critical role in ensuring that all recycling operations and environmental compliance protocols are executed efficiently and in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position is responsible for managing the proper handling, processing, and documentation of recyclable materials to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability. The role requires close collaboration with regulatory agencies and internal teams to maintain compliance with environmental policies and to support continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will monitor and report on compliance metrics, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to uphold environmental standards. Ultimately, this position contributes to the organization's commitment to environmental stewardship and regulatory adherence, ensuring safe and responsible recycling practices across all operations.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in environmental science, engineering, or related field preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in recycling operations, environmental compliance, or a related technical role. </li><li>Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations related to recycling and waste management. </li><li>Proficiency in maintaining compliance documentation and preparing regulatory reports. </li><li>Ability to perform physical tasks associated with recycling operations and site inspections. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Certification in environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, or related fields (e.g., RCRA, OSHA). </li><li>Experience working with electronic products (EP) recycling and compliance standards. </li><li>Familiarity with sustainability programs and environmental management systems (EMS). </li><li>Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection and reporting software. </li><li>Excellent communication skills for training and collaboration with diverse teams and regulatory agencies. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manage and oversee the collection, sorting, and processing of recyclable materials in compliance with environmental regulations. </li><li>Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to recycling and environmental compliance standards. </li><li>Maintain accurate records and documentation related to recycling activities, waste disposal, and regulatory compliance. </li><li>Collaborate with environmental agencies and internal departments to address compliance issues and implement corrective measures. </li><li>Provide training and guidance to staff on proper recycling procedures and compliance requirements. </li><li>Monitor changes in environmental laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and update internal policies accordingly. </li><li>Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies in a timely and accurate manner. </li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives and waste reduction programs. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <p>The required skills enable the candidate to effectively manage recycling processes while ensuring strict adherence to environmental regulations, which is essential for maintaining compliance and avoiding penalties. Strong organizational and documentation skills are used daily to track recycling activities and prepare accurate reports for regulatory agencies. Physical stamina and attention to detail are necessary for conducting site inspections and overseeing operational procedures. Preferred skills such as certification and experience with electronic product recycling enhance the candidate's ability to handle specialized compliance challenges and contribute to sustainability initiatives. Communication and analytical skills facilitate collaboration with internal teams and external regulators, ensuring continuous improvement and effective training programs.</p> <p>Training 2nd shift 2 weeks 4pm - 12:30am Monday - Friday.</p> <p>3rd shift 9pm - 5:30am Sunday - Thursday.</p>
