If you are ready to bring your leadership expertise, creativity, and dedication to our dynamic team, we encourage you to apply and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and community.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>The Falling Branch Elementary School Principal will coordinate administrative oversight and plan all phases of instructional leadership for the school, including educational programming, administration, budgetary planning, discipline, and family engagement.</p> <p>DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the daily management of the school, maintaining high standards of student conduct and staff professionalism </li><li>Supervise educators in the school, providing timely, constructive observations and evaluations based on school division timelines </li><li>Provide necessary training and guidance to professional staff based on evaluations </li><li>Hire all faculty and staff for the school </li><li>Ensure a productive learning environment through continuous collaboration with teachers, students, and families </li><li>Encourage the belief that all children can learn and achieve at high levels, setting high expectations for academic excellence </li><li>Facilitate opportunities to connect with students by being present during arrival and dismissal, attending school functions, and making frequent classroom visits </li><li>Enforce disciplinary policies and procedures with students </li><li>Participate in parent meetings and conferences, serving as an intermediary between parents, teachers, and students to address various needs or issues </li><li>Ensure timely completion of routine paperwork and administrative tasks </li><li>Lead effective and efficient staff meetings </li><li>Coordinate staff development and provides instruction if needed </li><li>Oversee the completion of annual needs assessments and ongoing comprehensive school improvement plans </li><li>Ensure necessary cleaning, maintenance, and repairs to school property </li><li>Manage the allocation of supplies and equipment </li><li>Oversee and implements the school budget, approving new programs and expenditures as appropriate and deemed necessary according to the school's improvement plan </li><li>Represent the school in community activities and meetings </li><li>Foster positive relationships between the school and the community, including parent/teacher organizations and community leaders </li><li>Act as liaison between the school board office administration and the school, promoting the importance of a unified team; communicates needs and information to both sides </li><li>Collaborate with other principals and educators throughout the division </li><li>Demonstrate effective instructional leadership skills and a thorough understanding of evidence-based best practices in instructional methodology </li><li>Ensure that the school meets state and federal accreditation and accountability requirements </li><li>Communicate effectively with stakeholders through outstanding written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills </li><li>Cultivate an inclusive, equitable, and warm learning environment for a diverse student population </li><li>Demonstrate experience or working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration, and coursework </li><li>Identify and effectively solve problems </li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of applicable local, state, and federal educational laws, regulations, policies, and requirements </li><li>Model professional behavior by being dependable, punctual, and present </li><li>Ability to maintain an unquestionable degree of confidentiality </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Educational Leadership or Curriculum and Instruction from an accredited institution </li><li>Postgraduate Professional license with administration and supervision endorsement required </li><li>Hold or immediately be eligible for a Virginia license with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision: PreK-12 </li><li>Experience in implementing educational programs </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Three years full-time teaching experience and five years of assistant principal and/or principal experience preferred </li><li>Experience at the elementary level </li></ul> <p>Salary: $87,661.90 - $150,485.96 annually, with benefits;
