Conducting under supervisor direction, preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment and plumbing repairs. This position reports to the Project Coordinator.</p> <ul> <li>Performs general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs. </li><li>Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor. </li><li>Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor. </li><li>Performs minor building and equipment repairs. </li><li>Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor. </li><li>Assists with snow removal efforts during winter season, as necessary. </li><li>Does routine maintenance on all vehicles when assigned. </li><li>Maintains work areas and equipment/tools in a neat and clean manner that meets safety standards. </li><li>When QUALIFIED, assists the Director of Plant Services and/or performs work on the heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators. </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School diploma or equivalent in training, education and experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum one year experience in building maintenance.</p> </li><li> <p>One year or more experience in apartment and/or healthcare community maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Renovation experience including:</p> </li><li> <p>Painting: Trim, walls, decks</p> </li><li> <p>Carpentry: Install/remove cabinetry, doors, walls, trim work</p> </li><li> <p>Drywall: Repairs and new install</p> </li><li> <p>Electrical: Replacing switches/outlets, installing new light fixtures</p> </li><li> <p>Plumbing: Hooking up residential faucets, toilets, drains</p> </li><li> <p>Flooring: Carpet, tile, LVP</p> </li><li> <p>Must have thorough understanding of all building systems and their interdependence.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess current and valid driver's license consistent with the requirements determined by size of vehicle and laws of the state in which the driver is licensed.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong professional communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work with a diverse team.</p> </li><li> <p>Organization and time-management skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Positive attitude and self-motivated.</p> </li></ul> <p>#ZR</p>
